  Well my 15 son got a pink slip on his school bus so I call the Transit to schedule him deviation to and from school and what I just experienced with an employee over the phone, astonished me. The employee's name I spoke with was Chuck. He said he would need to speak to my son so he got on the phone and said hi I'm Zack and handed the phone back to me to continue giving Chuck the information needed. He said, excuse me I have to talk to him! I said well I'm his mother and he has ADHD and is a little nervous because he's never set up a deviation before so I can answer what you need to know. Do you know this man told me that I couldn't set this up for MY 15 YEAR OLD SON!!!! And said my son had to get back on the phone and give the information without the help of his mother. Can you believe this! I sure couldn't. What if my son was deaf? What then does a person do? I wouldn't recommend them at all if asked. I'd rather pay for a cab!!!

  Usually have good service. Today tried flagging down bus 13 TWICE (once at a stoplight where I was stuck on the wrong side of the street and when the bus made a stop just down the street) and was ignored as the bus drove away both times. Tried calling their office to see if the bus could turn back around, but I was on hold long enough that the bus would've been too far gone. Highly dissatisfied, however there's hardly any other means of public, so I guess I'm stuck.

  If you're in a very desperate situation and have absolutely no other options, this would be a quick solution for that one time use. Don't expect out to be dependable or reliable. The greatness for elderly or handicapped who lack other transportation options is immeasurable. You can call and schedule a deviation practically anywhere on the route, provided the bus can travel in and out easily. The cost for this service is a mere additional $.50, bringing the fare too $1.50. Very inexpensive for those on a tight budget. If you're looking for reliable transportation for employment or school, this would be an emergency only option. Deviations while great for those in need, can cause issues with timetables causing the buses to run late. It wouldn't be a viable long-term option. Also being run only hourly and very limited hours can reek havoc on your schedule. All in all this is great for leisurely travelers, provided they are doing out Mon to Saturday, or for handicapped or elderly to get to appointments or shopping. All this said, one can't help but wonder how this company can operate at all unless it's state or city funded. They don't operate within hours that most people would benefit or that leisurely travelers would use them. The routes are long with deviations making them longer. The few experiences of had, a total of six over five years, I've seen several deviations each ride, rode with visibly intoxicated and offensive passengers, which the driver should have control over, and been late for work three times. Not a viable option for myself. In a pinch, I schedule a cab.
